         STEVEN SHORE, MOVIE BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEMBER of this independent, full length feature film project on Mary Baker Eddy, her life and healing works, and the founding of The Christian Science Monitor, will give a presentation about this movie project.

              Presentations last 1 to 1 ½ hours with questions.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               This film is for the general public worldwide, to be shown in neighborhood theatres.  A fellow Movie Board of Directors member on this project recently spoke at the Mary Baker Eddy library to Church Center workers, and will be giving a “Public” presentation at the Mary Baker Eddy Library after the first of the year.

Gather with other youth ages 12-35 for a weekend

• Come experience Christianity in Motion with three days of inspiration and action.  We’re taking summits to the next level!  We’ll be joined by the Board of Directors, engaging lecturers, and local facilitators.  Plus, we’ll be bringing spirituality to the streets of Portland
• Youth from ages 12-35 invited to take part in all activities Friday-Sunday.  All the church community is invited to Sunday events.

What: Two events in one… Our first ever picnic on the church grounds and discussion of the article “Clearing the View for the World” from Page 31 of the July Christian Science Journal.

Where: The Church Grounds & Parking Lot, 1475 Evergreen Parkway, Olympia

When: Directly after church, Sunday August 15th. Picnic around 11:15; Journal discussion around 12:30

Who: Everyone — Sunday School, members, friends, family members, guests, spouses

Activities: horseshoes, treasure hunt for kids, croquet on the grass, hopscotch and chalk drawing in the parking lot, frisbee and swinging in the park, and anything else you want to do.

After the picnic, those who want to stay will adjourn to the Sunday School foyer for a discussion of the July Journal article.

Bring: your favorite salad and your favorite chair — if you want to sit.

Food: Hot dogs, salads, chips, fruit, desserts, drinks
